On 28 October 2020, I was fortunate enough to be in Russia with a fellow enthusiast and we were able to make it to Mirny at very short notice (having just arrived in Tobolsk by train to join a scheduled An-2 flight) to join Alrosa's very last flight of the Tupolev Tu-154M. There was only one possible itinerary that would get us from Tobolsk to Mirny, arriving only 40 minutes before the Tu-154's...

This is the last Tu-154 in scheduled service. It appears in the schedules until 19th October 2020, when presumably it will be stored for the winter. Let's hope it will operate again in 2021.

Worked for Airlift International part time while in the Air Force in Japan. Had 2 B-727-100s based there. Worked them hard and they did the job. Great airplane.
